A few months ago when a lively and enthusiastic Italian man bounded through the doors of our studio to discuss a project that he was about to undertake, we had no idea quite where the journey would take us.Today, we can reveal the first of the fruits from a very enjoyable few months, with the launch of Tonda Terra and its range of Organic Jam, Picallili, Marmalade and Chutneys.
The founder of the company, Angelo, is extremely passionate about his food, with its quality and origin of paramount importance.
Helping him to bring these new products to market began right at the very start, with a name. We wanted to find a name that had its roots in Angelo’s home country, but that also was suggestive of the more natural, organic agriculture behind the range. Tonda Terra, or ‘round earth’, suited this perfectly and the alliteration rolled off the tongue – much like the delicious chutneys!
The final chosen concept featured a beautifully flowing, hand drawn script, which sits within a round ("tonda") circle, making the logo easily identifiable on both the pot and lid. The warm colours we chose are flavour-coded to compliment the different products within the jars.
A simple, fully responsive website was created to present the range and expel the benefits of choosing to go with organic produce.
Tonda Terra is already receiving rave reviews from local delis and with the passion of its founder at the helm; we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the brand over the next few months.
